Bashlee is currently looking candidates in the role of Supply Chain Manager for one of our client with a site in Cork. This is a 6 – 9 months contract.

Role Defined:

This is a senior strategic role responsible for implementing and co-ordinating strategic supply chain management initiatives that support the wider businesses strategic goals. The candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining industry leading supply chain whilst managing associated risk. You will work closely with other team members and other key internal stakeholders in delivering on the group’s procurement and supply chain strategy.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with business units, procurement colleagues, and supply chain partners to meet departmental and business objectives.
  • Research and analyze new supply chains in emerging geographies, conducting necessary due diligence and data collection.
  • Build and strengthen key supply chain relationships to foster collaborative working.
  • Negotiate commercial and strategic partnership agreements with preferred supply chain partners on behalf of the business.
  • Measure compliance with Procurement Services Agreements (PSAs) and ensure uptake of the internal supply chain performance scoring system.
  • Resolve day-to-day service issues with the supply chain to minimize disruption to the construction process and enhance product/service offerings.
  • Develop and maintain a monthly reporting dashboard showing performance against the yearly procurement strategic plan, and implement Supply Chain Engagement Programs as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Proven experience in delivering strategic procurement support or solutions.
  • Acute attention to detail with strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong commercial and financial aptitude with excellent negotiation capabilities.
  • Understanding of contractual legal terms and conditions.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build constructive relationships quickly.
  • Proficient in procurement tools and systems, including Coins, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint; IIPMM, CIPS, RICS, SCSI qualifications or equivalent.
