KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be highly technical, domain specialist, participate in solving technical challenges, lead teams to deliver on multiple services/projects and hold ultimate responsibilities of team’s deliveries
  • Be an effective people manager, attract and retain talents in the team, build up individual’s competence, challenge everyone for best result, provide timely feedback and take effective actions to ensure that the team is always in a good shape with right people and culture
  • Align with organization goals, break down complexities and translate them into team and individual goals
  • Be flexible in working hours and able to handle 24×7 in case of emergency and planned change weekends

REQUIREMENTS:

• Deep understanding of software engineering and system engineering including continuous design, integration, deployment, and operations at cloud scale

• Excellent people/leadership skills in line with Ericsson core values

• Sharp analytical skills with an ability to formulate and deliver on strategies

Key qualifications

  • MS in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Open mind, learning habit, team player, fact based, data driven
  • 8+ years hands-on programming experience with solid understanding of software development, debugging, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Thrives on accountability, overcoming challenges with a can-do attitude
  • Ability to take initiative, adapt quickly to changing priorities, work with a high sense of urgency with production stability as top priority
  • Business understanding and customer insight
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical groups
  • Fluent in Linux: RHEL, SLES and Ubuntu
  • Practical technical experiences in dealing with large scale user facing services
  • Familiar with Open-Source technology (CNCF landscape) and ways of working
  • Technical domain includes but not limited to software engineering, platform engineering, virtualization, containerization, kubernetes and cloud native eco-system, distributed system, Linux kernel, database, infrastructure as a code, disaster recovery or chaos engineering.
  • Experience with cloud technologies: Compute, Storage, Database, Networking & Security
  • Experience with large distributed systems in critical production service environments is a plus
