Information Security Officer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create, develop, maintain and provide guidance on the implementation of information security from a local perspective and in line with Central Bank of Ireland and group requirements.
  • Complete information security due diligence as part of due diligence and monitoring process of outsourced service providers.
  • Perform information security risk assessments on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop, establish and maintain procedures and guidelines to promote all aspects of the local and group ISMS
  • Investigate, resolve and report on information security incidents.
  • Provide a central point of contact for all security issues.
  • Provide information security awareness, education and training.
  • Review on a continual basis and ensure that monitoring and logging activities take place within the used systems on all system-wide activities, privileged user profiles and accesses to business sensitive information.
  • Review on a continual basis all logs, prescribe corrective measures when needed proactively work towards any enhancements deemed necessary.
  • Monitor compliance with the organization’s information security policies and procedures among employees, contractors and third parties.
  • Monitor and report on compliance with relevant legislative, contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise directly with Group Information Security in respect of all matters related to Information security.
  • Serve as an internal information security consultant to systems development and maintenance department.
  • Monitor the implementation of security controls in new developments.
  • Ensure quarterly ISB Dashboard reporting is validated with the ISA. 

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge

  • Must have CISSP and CISM accreditation
  • Experience working in an Information Security role in a Central Bank of Ireland regulated company would be an advantage but is not essential.

  • Ability to prioritise work to deliver results within strict deadlines
