Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Service Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing daily operations of the HVAC Service Department. Working directly with service and maintenance technicians, dispatch personnel and other managers.
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead HVAC staff in repairing and maintaining systems in commercial and industrial buildings.
- Work closely with service and maintenance technicians, dispatch personnel, and other managers to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Act as a senior company representative, communicating directly with customers, vendors, and suppliers to provide updates on job or project status.
- Schedule and provide technical support for HVAC technicians to meet service demands and customer expectations.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train HVAC technicians to meet workload demands and company standards.
- Establish and maintain a regular training program.
- Supervise technicians, review their work for quality and safety, and make recommendations to improve quality and productivity.
- Conduct performance appraisals, set improvement goals, and ensure technicians are trained on the latest techniques and safety procedures.
- Maintain regular communication with the service desk and other departments to report on project information, estimated job completion times, and materials used.
- Develop and monitor budgets to ensure timely cash flow and maintain inventory of parts and materials.
- Oversee HVAC service vehicles, ensuring they are maintained and stocked with necessary parts and materials.
- Generate sales leads, promote maintenance agreements, manage larger installation projects, and coordinate a team of technicians and contractors.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS :
- 10+ years HVAC service experience.
- 5+ years management experience.
- 2 Years HVAC Technical degreee
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Able to read, interpret, utilize, and train on manuals, schematics and controlcircuits related to HVAC and refrigeration systems
