DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES
- Managing and implementing relevant ISO Standards
- Support the EHS incident management process on site. Manage EHS incidents to closure, including root cause analysis and CAPA management.
- Provide technical support and direction for environmental and safety related issues.
- Managing sites waste management program and energy management program
- Coordinate sustainability initiative across client sites; proactively identifying science-based targets and developing objectives around targets.
- Managing risk assessment program; work extensively with the wider team to develop and deploy standard safe work practices and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all current Health & Safety Legislation and ensure Management is kept up to date with all changes in Health & Safety Legislation at management review meetings
- Conduct EHS audits; review to ensure compliance to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; evaluate effectiveness of EHS programs.
- Establish strategies and programs to identify EHS hazards and risks and develop plans to mitigate, eliminate or control.
- Develop, coordinate and administer training and communications program (First responder, Manual handling training, Fire marshal, job safety analysis) for new hire safety induction and contractor training programs.
- Responsible for obtaining, maintaining and managing sites regulatory permit and reporting requirement.
- EHS communication, training and continuous improvement
- Manage all 3rd party suppliers to ensure they comply with compliance and environmental standards.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ EHS Experience is compulsory
- Environmental, Health and Safety Degree or equivalent
- IOSH Certified
- Manual Handling Instructor and First Aid Responder desired
- Ability to prioritise work requirements and handling multiple tasks
- IT Skills – MS Office packages and database experience
- Work well within a team and be able to collaborate with others
