Bashlee Recruitment has an exciting opportunity in the role of MECHANICAL ENGINEER – ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR for one of our clients based in Dublin. The successful candidate along with other team members provide consultancy mainly to commercial, data centre, food and beverage, and light industrial sectors.
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and specification of mechanical services for various types of buildings and sectors
- Production of detailed schematics
- Develop the mechanical design standards within the organisation
- Mentoring of other engineering staff
- Provide fully detailed tender packages and monitor installation/quality on site through to project completion
- Tender report / analysis / recommendations
- Develop project scope with design team / client
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Autocad, Dialux, Amtech, REVIT an advantage
- Design and develop wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, precast components, and related infrastructure.
- Generate design drawings, reports, and project technical specifications.
- Write engineering design reports and project schedules, and manage the technical and managerial aspects of projects.
- Collaborate with production, finance, technical sales, and operations teams to bring projects from conception to completion.
- Conduct cost estimation, value engineering, and supplier/subcontractor negotiations.
- Support company goals, meeting business and contract objectives.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS :
- 10+ years experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer
- The candidate must be based in Ireland to be considered for this position
- Lead projects from concept stage to completion
- Liaise with clients, architects and project managers
- Specification and design of Mechanical Building Services systems for a range of projects
- Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
- Position requires thorough knowledge of electrical design and engineering techniques
- Deep knowledge of Building Regulations, CIBSE, BS, IS and EN Standards
- Experience in working as part of a team
- Very good proactive communicator
